Welcome..
The positive feedback received from our newsletter sent out earlier this year, convinced us at NIIT that we should continue with this format to update you with our latest news. It is my pleasure therefore to bring to you another edition in 2008 of the NIIT Technologies UK Newsletter.
With the global financial crisis and credit crunch, all our clients are looking at taking the tough decisions that will ensure the continuing success and competitiveness of their business. We are proud that NIIT features as a ‘win-win’ partner of choice with its competitive ‘offshore’ based services and value added ‘end-to-end’ solutions. It is great to note that NIIT is being increasingly invited to demonstrate the low cost economic reality that offshoring can bring to our client’s businesses, even in areas that we had previously assumed needed to be catered for locally. We ourselves are now using our own offshore facilities to maximise the potential of our sales and marketing strategy. You can read more about this in an article on Inside Sales elsewhere in this newsletter.
In this edition, we proudly announce our new 3 year contract with British Airways and our ‘world leading’ accreditations in the Black Book of Outsourcing. In another first, the UK team has successfully co-hosted events where senior analysts like Alan Rodger from the Butler Group, and Neil Saunders from Verdict shared the platform with leading brains from NIIT in providing insights and knowledge into the challenges faced with maintaining legacy systems in the Financial Services industry and implementing solid eRetail strategies for retailers.
I’m also happy to announce that as we celebrate our first anniversary with SITA, the relationship has grown and evolved as planned, with the two companies working towards a true global partnership; so far, we have been involved in providing services to nine countries! And the potential is immense as SITA works in more than 200 countries!!
Finally, in a climate where we have seen a number of companies disappear from the travel, airline and financial services industry, clients are keen to take on a more pro-active approach to outsourcing and are increasingly utilising the NIIT Knowledge portal. This has given confidence to both client and vendor in providing a safe and comprehensive exit strategy in the relationship and has effectively demonstrated our confidence in meeting and surpassing our client’s expectations. If you would like to hear more about NIIT’s Knowledge Portal, or indeed have any comments or contributions to the newsletter, please contact here.
As the next edition of the newsletter is to be released in 2009, it is only appropriate to wish all of our readers a Happy Diwali, a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year. I trust you will take some relaxation time out for the celebrations…. Until the next edition, best wishes.
