Being Smart at the Call Centre Expo

NIIT

The Call Centre Expo, held at the NEC Birmingham, is an annual 2-day event providing a platform for businesses in the call centre industry. With over 10,000 delegates attending each day, the event provides the ideal opportunity for NIIT SmartServe to promote and brand themselves amongst industry leaders.

This year, NIIT SmartServe participated as part of the India pavilion, organised by the ministry of IT; Government of India. The customised desktop themed stress balls coupled with enthusiasm shown by Carl, Jeeshu and Naaji ensured that the Indian pavilion looked increasingly like NIIT territory.

With our attendance at the event timed to coincide with our article published in the Customer Strategy Magazine, a number of interesting delegates dropped by the stand and discussions varied from requirements for IT support to multilingual call centre needs. The team now look forward to following up on those conversations, and perhaps, welcoming them to the Newsletter as new clients!

Naaji Naqshab Shah is one of the business managers at NIIT SmartServe Limited, responsible for managing existing UK clients and generating new business. In his own words, “confidence, integrity and forthrightness” are some of the attributes associated with Naaji, with “a layer of modesty thrown in to complete the icing on the cake!”. Naaji’s previous roles include working in both sales and marketing within the media industry.

A die hard sportsman involved in golf, long distance running, football, cricket and hockey, Naaji’s social life is “rather hectic, with only a few hours spent at home at the weekends, but that’s exactly how I like it” says Naaji.
